Manual or automatic?

Manual lessons cost £35 per hour and build clutch control, smooth gear changes and confident decisions. Passing a manual test allows you to drive both manual and automatic cars.

Automatic lessons cost £37 per hour and let you focus on observation and road planning without a clutch pedal or manual gear changes. An automatic test gives you a licence for automatic cars; a manual practical test is needed to drive manual cars.

Learn at a pace that suits you

Regular lessons give you time to practise and build skills steadily. We work with complete beginners and learners who have already had tuition elsewhere. Your instructor will assess your experience and discuss the next steps.

Nervous driver lessons

If you feel anxious about busy roads, making mistakes or starting again, tell us. Your instructor can break skills into manageable steps, choose suitable roads and help you build confidence with clear explanations and focused practice.

Driving lessons after failing a test

Bring your test feedback and explain what happened on the day. We can work on the areas that need improvement, use mock-test practice where appropriate and help you decide when another attempt is realistic.
