Due to recent DVSA changes, third-party companies are no longer able to book driving tests in the same way they previously could. In most cases, candidates will now need to search for and book driving tests themselves directly through the official GOV.UK website.

It is VERY important that you give yourself the best possible chance of securing a suitable driving test date.
Before booking any driving test, please speak to your driving instructor first regarding:
âś… When they realistically believe you will be test ready
âś… The earliest date they want you to book for
âś… Which test centres they are willing to cover
âś… Their preferred test centres in order of recommendation
Please do NOT book a driving test without first checking with your instructor, as booking the wrong test centre or booking too early may result in delays, extra costs, or needing to change the test.
⚠️ IMPORTANT – HOW TO FIND TEST DATES ⚠️
If you are looking for a driving test date in advance:
* New DVSA driving test dates are generally released every Monday morning at 6am• You should log onto the DVSA website at this time and regularly check availability• If no dates appear, this does NOT necessarily mean the system is not working — it may simply mean no dates were released for that test centre or they were booked very quickly
If you are looking for cancellations or short-notice tests:
* You should check the DVSA website as many times per day as possible• Cancellation dates can appear at ANY time throughout the day• The more frequently you log in and check, the higher your chances are of finding a suitable test date before somebody else books it
Please remember:
✅ The GOV.UK website is the official place to book driving tests✅ Test dates can appear and disappear within seconds✅ Consistency with lessons is still extremely important while waiting for a test✅ Be cautious of unofficial websites or social media pages claiming to “guarantee” tests
Whilst we appreciate the current system can feel frustrating, these recent changes are expected to improve fairness and gradually increase the availability of genuine driving test dates directly to learners.
If you are unsure about anything regarding test readiness or suitable test centres, please speak directly with your instructor.
Thank you,
